Hilary Wallis
Artist
Through their efforts, AID seeks to build a new generation of globally conscious leaders who can shape an American foreign policy appropriate for our increasingly interdependent world. Hilary’s role added an artistic component to AID conferences. She displayed her paintings and spoke of the importance of art in development at the Bringing the World Home’s conference at Syracuse University’s Center in London in 2006 and at the Young Global Leaders Summit at Johns Hopkins SAIS in Washington D.C. in 2007.
In addition, AID offered prints of Hilary’s painting "Where the End of Poverty Begins" as a fundraiser for the Nothing But Nets campaign to prevent malaria.
