In 2005, Hilary collaborated with CARE Netherlands in creating an exhibition and poster campaign called “Dare to Make a Difference” to raise awareness on the Millennium Development Goals. The eight MDGs target date is 2015, and they form a blueprint agreed to by all of the world’s countries and leading development institutions. The campaign reached over 30,000 members of the Dutch public.

Each painting represents one of the eight Millennium Development Goals:

Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, Achieve universal primary education, Promote gender equality and empower women, Reduce child mortality, Improve maternal health, Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases, Ensure environmental sustainability and Develop a global partnership for development.
