The partnership between Hilary Wallis and the NCCJ fostered the Art of Social Justice initiative that used art to deeply explore the meaning and significance of art, its creative medium as a powerful expression of social justice and its universal ability to communicate principles of understanding and inclusion.
In New York City in 2008, the NCCJ hosted a major celebration for their supporters in order to pay a special tribute to their leaders that have demonstrated commitment to fighting bias and bigotry. The evening featured the artwork of Hilary Wallis and promoted the Art of Social Justice Initiative.

National Conference for Community and Justice ‘s work includes school based and city-wide initiatives that explore and educate participants on the dynamics of oppression, inter-group relations, cross-cultural communications, conflict management and resolution, facilitator training and staff development.
